Request a discovery call
A material study photographed in bright daylight. A monumental pleated wave of clear turquoise glass turns through a quarter circle, a polished pearl silver ribbon running along its crest, standing on a pale reflective floor that scatters light turquoise caustics. The left of the frame is empty pale mint.

Discovery call

Bring usthe problem.

In a discovery call, we map what is happening today, what should change, which systems are involved, and whether software is actually the right answer. For businesses across Canada and the United States.

The call is free. Afterwards you receive a written proposal with scope, price, and timeline. If HUREAL is not the right answer, we will say so.

Tell uswhat is happening.

A person reads every request and replies to arrange a time. Calls run over video or in person.

If you already know which systems are involved, name them here. It lets the call start with the real question.

What this form does. It reaches HUREAL and nothing else. We use what you write here to prepare your discovery call, and to reply to you about it. We do not sell it, we do not share it with anyone outside HUREAL, and you can ask us to delete it at any time. How we handle personal information.

Please leave passwords and confidential data out of this form. Anything sensitive is exchanged later, once scope is agreed.

What we cover.

  1. 01

    Current state

How the process works today, and who runs each part.

  2. 02

    Friction

Where time, money, data, or customers are being lost.

  3. 03

    Systems

Which tools and infrastructure are involved, and which system owns which information.

  4. 04

    Opportunity

What could realistically improve, and what should stay as it is.

  5. 05

    Next step

You leave with a clear recommendation.

What arrives afterwards.

A written proposal you can sign, take elsewhere, or keep on file.

  • Scope

What is being built, and what is not, listed side by side.

  • Price

A fixed quote where the scope is resolved, otherwise a bounded estimate that names what is still open.

  • Timeline

Dates you can plan around, and the points where you see working software.

  • The line

What a system takes over and what stays with your people.

  • Systems

Every connection the build needs, and what has been checked.

  • Our recommendation

Including when the right answer is smaller than what you asked about.

  3. The line: what the system takes over, what stays with your people.
  4. Systems and connections, with what has been checked for each.
  5. The arithmetic, with your numbers.
  6. Scope: what is in it.
  7. Scope: what is not in it.Its own section, because it keeps the scope honest
  8. Price, and the payment schedule.
  9. Timeline, reviews, and what happens if something is late.
  10. Our recommendation.Including where it is against going ahead

Illustration, sample data

Ten sections. Two of them are the ones proposals usually leave out: what the scope excludes, and what we would advise against.

Who is useful on the call.

01

Whoever feels the problem

You do not need the decision-maker on the first call. The proposal is written so you can take it to whoever signs.

02

Someone who knows where the data lives

Which system holds the customer, the price, and the history.

03

You do not need a technical lead.

Questions before booking.

  • What does the call cost?

Nothing. The discovery call is free. The price of the work is set out in the written proposal that follows.

  • How soon does the proposal arrive?

We agree that with you at the end of the call. If something has to be checked first, such as access to a system, we tell you what and why.

  • Can we meet in person?

Yes, where that is practical. Most calls run over video, and the proposal is the same either way.

  • Do you sign a confidentiality agreement?

Yes. Send yours with the booking and it is reviewed before the call.

  • We already work with a developer or agency. Is this still useful?

Often. A written scope with its exclusions is useful whoever builds it, and HUREAL works alongside in-house and external teams.
